41st President of the USA, George H.W. Bush, Dead at 94 Yrs

Former President George H.W. Bush passed away today, he was 94 yrs old. Bush had been hospitalized since April of this year just 2 days after his wife, Barbara's funeral, the couple had been married for 73 yrs.  Which is a record for the longest time that any President and First Lady had been married. Funeral arrangements will be announced once everything is settled among the family. Rest in Peace HW.

Southwest Airline's Gate Agent Mocks 5yr Old Passengers Name, "ABCDE" (Not A Typo!)

Yesterday, a Southwest Agent at John Wayne Airport mocked the name of a 5yr old passenger named Abcde (pronounced Ab-City) and unfortunately, the child and her mother overheard it. And the little girl askes her mother, why is that lady making fun of my name? Well, Abcde, its because your mother named you something retarded!!! And you are going to have to deal with this kind of ridicule yourentire life, unless you go to court and change you name!!! Well, folks that wasn't bad enough, the Southwest Agent took a picture of Abcde's boarding pass and posted it to her Facebook.  Unfortunately, for the Southwest employee, the mother of Abcde, found out and now she is making an even bigger stink about it. I think the agent crossed the line by posting to Facebook, but she had every right to laugh at such a stupid name, I did!!!

Vernita Lee, Mother of Oprah Winfrey Passed Away on Thanksgiving and is Buried by Monday Morning 4 Days Later!!! WTF!!!!

Is this right or wrong? Vernita Lee, the mother of Oprah Winfrey passed away on Thanksgiving after sharing turkey and whatever else billionaire business women serve for Thanksgiving luncheons. Vernita was 83 and this was an unexpected death according to all media outlets. However, come Monday morning, Vernita was already buried!!! WTF!!! She was not Jewish as far as I know?!?! Normally in the black community, when someone dies, if the coroner has released the body, services are held 1 week to 10 days later. 4 days later is just unheard of!!!! Was she even cold yet? What was the rush Oprah?

Now, Oprah and her mother had an unusual, ok lets say strained relationship, most of Oprah's life. But according to media outlets, they had reconciled way back in 2012. No word on if Oprah's half sister was at the service, or her brother, or did he die years ago? I thought her mother had already died, years ago! Sigh! Anyway, rest in peace Vernita.

Actor John Heard, Found Dead in Palo Alto California Hotel, He Was Just 71 Yrs Old!

Actor John Heard, who portrayed the father in the 2 Home Alone movies and the corrupt police detective on the Sopranos, was found dead in his hotel room by the maid today. John was just 71 yrs old. John was in Palo Alto recovering from some minor back surgery he had had at Stanford Hospital on July 19th.  Why do people do that? Have surgery and then go to a hotel to recover! That is just so stupid to me. They should either go home or to a skilled nursing facility.  Some place where there is round the clock care.

Anyway, no cause of death was determined but according to Palo Alto PD foul play is not suspected. Sounds to me like the minor surgery wasn't so minor after all.

John was married 3 times, one time to Margot Kidder the actress but this marriage only lasted 6 days. John has 3 children, 2 sons and a daughter by 2 baby's mothers. Another marriage, this one to Lana Pritchard which took place in Los Angeles in 2010 only lasted 7 months. John ran into some trouble with baby's mother #1, Melissa Leo, when John was arrested for 3rd degree assault for slapping Leo, this was back in 1991.  However, John was acquitted of trespassing at their son's school, same year. Sounds to me like John may have been a woman beater. Sigh. Oh well, I think he was a very good actor. And he will definitely be missed. Rest in Peace John.

Academy Award Winning Actor Martin Landau, Dead at 89 Yrs.

Academy Award winning actor, Martin Landau passed away at a hospital in Los Angeles today from complications from an undisclosed illness, he was 89 years old. Martin was a great actor who appeared on stage, screen and TV. As a matter of fact he starred in 2 of my all time favorite TV shows, Space 1999 and Mission Impossible.  Martin won his Academy Award in 1994 for portraying Bela Lugosi in the movie Ed Wood. Rest in peace Martin and say hi to Tony who co-starred with you in Space 1999.
