Okay this is my favorite part of the Academy Awards, the gowns that the actresses wear to this Award show. So, here are my favorites and also some of the ratchet ones too. LOL
My top 10 Favorite Women are:
1.Jennifer Lopez and Mrs. Robert Duval in Elie Saab. Jlo wore it in peach and Mrs. Duval wore it in pink, A heavily beaded deep V bodice over an A line full skirt. Jlos also had more layers under her skirt giving her a more full skirt. Mrs Duval's dress was wayy too long and she doesn't have a full bust like Jlo. Jlo's Grade: A and Mrs. Duval's Grade : B+
3, Viola Davis in Zac Posen. A pink drop shoulder strapped satin ball gown. Loved the full ball gown skirt. Just the right amount of fullness. I didn't get the wingettes in the front, but I guess Zac was trying to be different. hahahaha Grade: A
4. Octavia Spencer in custom Tom Ford. Pale green draped gown with portrait neckline straight skirt with a ball gown over skirt. In the front on the skirt were some beautiful drapes. This gown really accentuated Octavia's curves in the best way possible. Grade: A+
5. Felicity Jones in spectacular Alexander McQueen silver fully beaded bodice over a gorgeous ball gown skirt. This was an amazing dress!!! I think the beading should have stopped in a jewel neckline instead of the turtle neck like collar. But I just loved it anyway. Grade : A+
6. Kelly Ripa in a beautiful strapless black ball gown, they didn't credit the designer, but I love it. It had a full Cathedral train on the ball gown skirt. Grade A
7. Kelly Osbourne in a Rita Vineris black bateau neckline with lace sleeves and lace overlay on the bodice and a high/low full skirt and train. It was kind of matronly for Kelly's age but she looked amazing. Grade A-
8. Reese Witherspoon in a custom Tom Ford, white sheath with black portrait neckline and belt. The fit of this dress was absolutely perfect!!!! Grade A
9. Kerry Washingto in Miu Miu a very soft pink sating peplumed strapless bodice with a beaded straight skirt. So chic and elegant...yet kind of boring. Grade A-
10. Lady Gaga in Azzendine Alaia a white with silver sparkle beading all over, a full ball gown skirt with a full bodice with flaps for short sleeves and some ugly red leather gloves. She should have left the gloves at home or maybe traded them in for red satin opera gloves. this dress fit Lady Gaga perfectly. It accentuated her perfectly slim waist and then flared out to a beautiful full ball gown skirt. Grade A
Some of the misses, wow, where do I start? Gwenyth Paltrow in a pink disaster by Ralph And Russo. This asymmetric one shoulder and sleeve sheath with a giant Pink tulle flower wrapped around the shoulder. The fit was off in the crotch. Causing it to wrinkle and bunch up. Yuck! Grade: F
Lupita Nyongo in Calvin Klein a white pearl beaded Halter top sheath with cut outs. They were bragging that the dress was made of 6000 pearls, well let's say a prayer for all of those poor oysters who gave thier lives and pearls for this monstrosity!!! The bodice and the straps that went up around the neck were way too heavily beaded. Lupita doesn't have any boobs and this dress accentuated that fact unfortunately. The boobs actually looked concaved to me. OUCH! Sorry Lupita, I love you but hated this dress. Grade F -!
Jared Leto in Givenchy horrible lavender tux and his tooth pick legs and arms. and those cartoonish white shoes. What the hell were you thinking dude? And get a hair cut or tie that mop up on your head. I think you should have had your hair pulled into a pony tail that was braided and then maybe applied some nice gel to give your hair a nice shine. But to wear it down in that dirty hippie look was so wrong! Grade F-
Oprah Winfry in a custom Vera Wang peach monstrosity. It was a fit and flare gown on Oprah's giant ass which is so big, it should have it's own zip code. Look Oprah that handkerchief skirt flounce is so passe it's makes me nod off every time I see it. You are a curvy gurl or a big fat pig, but either way, you should not be wearing a fit and flare anything. You should be wearing a sleeved bodice with a peplum and a full skirt to hide that big fat ass of yours. Grade F---! hahahaha
Nicole Kidman in custom Luis Vitton, a gold strapless sheath with a bright Christmas red belt. She looked like a leftover Christmas present that someone threw out accidentally into the trash. Her hair was dull and boring just like she milky white complexion! Cant you afford to go to a tanning salon? If you don't want to tan, at least use a spray on tan. And please eat a sandwich! You boney ass bitch!
Grade F-. But your hubby is fine as hell. hahahaha God knows what he sees in you???
Rita Ora in Marchesa it was a navy strapless fit and flare get up. I loved the silhouette, but hated the bodice which had some puffed up balloons and a ruffle so it looked like she had double boobage going on. And there was some beading on the bodice but I couldn't see it good because the Yahoo pic is a side pic. Grade C+
Zoe Saldana in a Atelier Versace in a peach spaghetti strapped bomb. The fit was pretty good, Zoe is no longer a tooth pick in need of a 10 course dinner she is a curvy gurl now with giant boobs and a big ass. She did just give birth to twins recently. I am liking the added weight, she looks normal now. I just didn't like the dress, too much going on it. It has drapes around the hips and a bunch of lines in the bodice with the criss cross drapes and bra cups with the princess straps. Wow! Edit!!! Grade C
