Frank Sinatra Jr, the only son of legendary singer/actor Frank Sinatra Sr, died suddenly of cardiac arrest last night while on tour in Daytona Beach Florida; he was just 72 yrs old. Frank Jr was kidnapped when he was 19 yrs old from Harrah's Tahoe, (room 417) and his father paid $240,000.00 USD in ransom for him. The kidnappers Barry Keenan, Johnny Irwin, and Joe Amsler were soon captured, prosecuted, convicted, and sentenced to long prison terms for kidnapping, of which they served only small portions (mastermind Keenan was later adjudged to have been legally insane at the time of the crime and, hence, not legally responsible for his actions). Famed attorney Gladys Root represented one of the three men.
Frank Jr was also a singer, but his voice was not as deep or as rich as his fathers but he did okay. Frank Jr was only married one time (to Cynthia McMurry) , but it only lasted 2yrs and produced 1 child, a son, Michael Sinatra. So, he is survived by his ex wife and his son (and other family members). Rest in peace Frank Jr.
