Wow! I have said it before and I'll say it again, when you have millions and millions of dollars DO NOT TRUST JUST ONE PERSON TO WATCH IT!!! Alanis Morrissette did and he stole $4.8 million from her ,another $1 million from a 2nd client and then finally $737.00 from a third client. Jonathan Todd Schwartz is facing 23 yrs in prison for his thievery. However, he has reached a plea agreement with the prosecutes and now is just facing 4 to 6 yrs. Oh HELL NO!!! You steal 5 million from me and I will kill every single member of your family, grandma, grandpa, fido, the fish, your children, wife and ex wife etc. NO ONE IS SAFE!!! And then I will kill you last, after I show you the video tapes of how each person died. But I blame Alanis. The way Jonathan was doing it, he was withdrawing money and labeling it "sundry/business expenses". First of all, Jonathan should not have the power to withdraw any monies on his own. Or if you do, make it for a nominal fee, like just $100.00 dollars. Anything over that and Alanis should have had to sign for it. And she should have had another accountant or Business Manager overseeing this Jonathan guy. And there should have been automatic audit triggers in place. And I wouldn't have told him about them. That's how you catch a thief. Jonathan was ready too, when he first got caught, he lied and said the monies were used to invest in an illegal weed business dispensary. Those businesses are making money hand over fists! So UMP!! Wrong answer!! Alanis shouldn't agree to any plea deal that does not include him paying restitution up front, Jonathan gives her $1 million dollars and they take 5 yrs off his sentence! No cash, no plea deals!!! Alanis is not the only celebrity to be robbed by a business manager recently Johnny Depp was robbed also.
