Former Actress Jean Stapleton Passes Away at Home In NY State

Aww this is sad, former actress Jean Stapleton passed away at her home in NY state recently. She was 90 years old. I thought she had died years ago. As a matter of fact I hadn't seen nor heard of her since her comedy show, All in the Family went off the air way back in the 1970s. Apparently Jean and her husband, William Putch had been doing plays together over the years; until his sudden death in 1983 of a fatal heart attack. She is survived by her 2 children John and Pamela Putch. They were by her side when she passed away. Awww, but its nice to know that she had a real family after her tv show went off the air. Jean portrayed Edith on All in the Family. Carrol O' Connor portrayed her husband Archie on the show. Archie was a lovable bigot  and Edith was a normal lovable wife who knew just how to stifle Archie's huge ego. I was a big fan of the show. Thanks for the laughs Jean, rest in peace dear lady.
