Worst Storm on Record Hits Philipines and Decimates the Country!

Awww, this is really sad. Typhoon Hiyan made landfall the other day in the Philippines and completely decimated the Island Nation. As many as 10,000 people have been killed in one city alone! According to the Yahoo article, corpses hung from the trees and were strewn all over the city streets. What made it so bad was that the storm surge which some people estimated be as high as 40 feet flooded the streets and washed out entire villages in the blink of an eye. This is just so sad. What can we do to help them? Please donate to your local red cross office and request that this donation be sent to the Philippines. One of the local newscasters has family back in the Philippines and she was skyping with her brother last night on the news. And they were all safe thank God. But I think that was because they were Manila. Which is one of the largest cities in the Philippines. Looters are now raiding the gas stations and stores looking for food and water. I sure hope the Red Cross can make some food drops to the people who are left. God bless the people who are left.
