Maria von Trapp of Sound of Music Fame, Dead at 99 yrs

Maria von Trapp, 99 yrs old has passed away from natural causes at her home in Vermont, USA. Maria was one of 7 children born to Captain Georg von Trapp and his first wife Agathe Whitehead von Trapp, who escaped the Nazis in 1938 from Austria. After Agathe passed away, Captain Georg remarried, this time to Maria Agusta, who he subsequently 3 more children with. Maria Agusta taught the children music and they performed all over the East Coast. Maria Agusta also wrote the book which inspired the stage play and film, The Sound of Music. No word on if Maria the daughter, had any children or grandchildren, but at least 1 half sibling, Johannes, is still alive and he is the one who announced her death. Rest in Peace Maria.
