Escaped Felon Caught After 56 Years On the Lam!!!

I want to say GOOD JOB!!! To the US Marshall Service on capturing the wanted felon who escaped from prison way back in 1959, Frank Freshwaters, age 79 now.  Freshwaters was originally convicted of manslaughter after he hit a pedestrian and killed him while he was speeding. He received a 20 yr sentence but that was suspended. He then violated his probation by obtaining a driver's license and driving again. So he was sent to prison and after some time he was then transferred to an honor farm in Ohio. He then escaped one day in 1959. He was arrested again in 1975 on the warrant out of Ohio in Charleston West Virginia. However, the stupid West Virginia Governor refused to send him back to Ohio. He then left West Virginia and went down to Florida. Where he'd been hiding out ever since. Had he just done his original 20 yr sentence he would have been living as a free man for the last 30 + yrs. It's a shame that it took the US Marshal service another 36 yrs to find him but he owes society that debt and I am glad that he was caught. Many of the people who were commenting on the Yahoo article were saying how terrible it is that the US Marshals wasted all of those man hours and resources to capture this old man who wasn't bothering anyone. Freshwaters will probably die in prison. But it's by his own choice. Had he just been man enough to take his medicine 56 yrs ago, he would be a free man today. Thank You US Marshals for doing your job!!!
