Okay, I was catching up on one of my favorite reality shows, The First 48. This is a show where cameras follow homicide detectives around as they work to solve homicides in major cities like New Orleans, Dallas, Lexington, Miami etc. This is from initial call of shots fired or I found this guy lying in the street in a pool of blood and I think he's dead...all the way to cuffing the perp as he/she is carted off to booking. The whole premise is that if the cops don't get a clue in the first 48hrs, then the murder may go unsolved. It is very exciting to see what the homicide detectives go through to solve the murders. What has me so upset now is the reasons some of the victims were murdered. On one of the recent Cleveland episodes, the detectives received a call about a 16 yr old girl who shot in the head and killed in the alley behind her home. Her mother heard her open one of the windows in her room and then a few mins later heard the gun shots. So her dad goes back to the alley and finds his daughter laying there in a pool of blood. She dies b4 the ambulance can even get her to the hospital. Guess who killed her? Her 16 yr old boyfriend, because he thought she was cheating on him. When he called her earlier that evening he heard voices in the background and she wouldn't tell him who was there with her. He has been charged with 2 counts of first degree murder, because the girl was 4 months pregnant with his child. Is that heart breaking or what? Personally, I am not buying his motive, I think he killed her because she was pregnant and he was gonna get in trouble with his family if she had the baby. Her family didn't even know that she dating anyone let alone that she was having sex and pregnant. Another shocking murder occurred also in Cleveland, two guys who had been friends for since they were in middle school. They were now in their early 30s, so we are talking like 15 16 years. Well, one night they run into each other at the club and one guy buys the other one some drinks, and the scrub promises to pay the first guy back. So the next day, the first guy was driving a friend home and they just so happened to be in the neighborhood of the scrub and they run out of gas. So they take off walking and walk to a gas station to get some gas, just as they are leaving the gas station, they see the scrub and ask him for a ride back to their car, but the scrub refuses and drives off. Well, they walk back to the car and just as they are filling the tank, they see the scrub pull up across the street. So the car owner, let's call him Bob, Bob goes over to the scrub and gets into an argument with the scrub over not helping them when he lives right across the street from where they broke down. Bob ends up punching the scrub and the scrub pulls out a gun and shoots Bob in the chest killing him. (Shakes head in disgust!) Then the scrub runs off like a coward. Can you believe that shit?!!!! Later on in the investigation, we find out the drinks only costed a mere $13.00. So basically, Bob was killed over a lousy $13.00. The scrub ended up taking a plea deal for voluntary manslaughter and will only serve 4yrs in prison. I don't know which pisses me off the most, the betrayal of the 16 + year friendship or the lack of punishment for the horrific crime??? And the final murder, I am going to talk about happened in NY, to this 37 yr old hunky guy who was a heroine addict. He was found lying in the middle of the street in Rochester NY, shot several times in the head and neck. So the police are completely stumped at first, because he has his wallet with some cash in it, cell phone, his watch and keys. So it doesn't appear to be a robbery or mugging. The detectives go to his residence to search for clues. They find it empty and while searching they find a marriage license. So they interview his neighbors and find out that he was last seen just the day b4 in the morning and the neighbor mentions his gf and she left about a month ago after an argument. Apparently the neighbor didn't know that the couple had married 3 months ago. So the police track down the wife and find her staying at some hotel, and the hotel desk tells the detectives that the room is being paid for by some guy named Jeff and he also a 2nd room at the hotel. To make a long story short, the police go to the room pull out everyone in it and then interview the wife about the murder. First they inform her that her husband was killed in the wee hours that day and do you know what the first thing she asks? "What was it over?" Not how did it happen, or where was he when it happened? She then says she was at the hotel all night long alone. And that Jeff and the other girl Tramaine were at a concert last night. So the detectives get the surveilance footage from the security cameras at the hotel and see Jeff and the wife returning the to hotel at 608am that morning about an hour after the murder. So the detectives interview Tramaine alone a couple of days later after she has court, and they interview the wife a couple of times. But clearly she is lying and continues to appear evasive. So a week later, Jeff is arrested on an unrelated case and the detectives think this is a good time to re interview the wife again. So this time the wife seems to be more forthcoming and claims that Jeff is her pimp and that he is a very dangerous man and then she spills the beans. She tells the police that she thinks Jeff killed her husband. And they ask why would your husband go anywhere with Jeff? And she says, if he thought he was being taking some place to buy drugs he would go voluntarily. Then she admits that the 3 of them left the hotel to go buy drugs. And Jeff was driving and he takes them to this neighborhood and tells her husband to get out and go over to that house to buy the drugs. So the hubby gets out and then Jeff calls him back and tells him it's the wrong house and when the hubby turns around Jeff pulls out the gun and shoots the husband right in front of her. WTF! So she helped set her husband up! What cold ass heartless bitch! Later that same day, Tramaine calls the detectives because she has had a change of heart. She now tells the detectives that she knows more than she originally told them. She was with Jeff when he got rid of the murder weapon. Tramaine also tells detectives that the wife admitted to her that she shot her husband in his neck. Tramaine then gives them address of the bridge where Jeff dropped the gun over the side of the bridge. The detectives call the dive team and subsequently meet them there where after a brief search of the water directly under the bridge they recover a hand gun. Subsequent tests prove it is the murder weapon. So both the wife and Jeff are arrested and charged with first degree murder and conspiracy. Motive? Well the motive appears to be money, Jeff was mad that the hubby kept calling his ho for money and she kept giving it to him. And the wife was mad because the hubby was a drug addict who kept asking her for money.She claims that is why they broke up a month ago when moved out of the marital home. That fucking bitch should have gotten her hubby into rehab instead of several bullets to the head and neck!!!
NONE of the motives were valid! There is only one good reason to kill someone, if they are trying to kill you or if they are harming an animal. Otherwise, anything else can be worked out. Killing is WRONG! Lord Jesus, we need your help! People are killing each other over nothing! A 17 yr old told his 19yr old friend to shot this guy he was arguing with at the library because they had been beefing on Facebook. Really? That is just so retarded, I have no words for it. Man's inhumanity to man is just astounding!!!!
