Kroger Stores Recalls 4 Spices Due to Salmonella Contamination!....Oh NO! Not AGAIN!!!!

Ok, this is getting to be downright ridiculous!!! Kroger Stores are recalling 4 spices that may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. The FDA was doing its job and randomly testing the products when they discovered that a batch of garlic powder was contaminated with the salmonella bacteria. They found this batch in South Carolina, but the product is shipped out from there all over the country.  So check your pantry and spice racks for the following products:
  • Kroger Ground Cinnamon, UPC 1111070034, sell by May 19 18PS4,18.3 ounces
  • Kroger Garlic Powder, UPC 1111070039, sell by May 18 17PS4, 24.7 ounces
  • Kroger Coarse Ground Black Pepper, UPC 1111070041, sell by May 18 18PS4 or May 19 18PS4, 17.1 ounces
  • Kroger Bac’n Buds, UPC 1111070025, sell by May 20 18PS4, 12 ounces
While only the garlic powder tested positive, those same machines were used to manufacture the other spices as well, so Kroger is just being safe than sorry.

Why does this keep happening? This is the 4th company in 2 weeks that has been contaminated with Salmonella. Is nothing safe? Is Salmonella just taking over the food industry or is someone spy going around sprinkling Salmonella bacteria over everything?
