An ex intern who slaved for the Wendy Williams Show and sued for that, has requested that Judge Allison Nathan approve his class action settlement with Lionsgate the parent company to the Wendy Williams Show. The ex intern, Anthony Tart claims that he worked 8 plus hours a day for no pay or benefits and doing work that he should have been compensated for. Dude, you are so stupid, unpaid interns exist in every job type all over the United States. This is a way that young college students can get some on the job experience in the corporate world. Most people parlay that OTJ (on the job experience) and the contacts that they make into a paying job after the graduate from college. DUH!!!
Anyway, the settlement in question is the same one that was proposed by the defendants way back in June. It is $1.3 million dollars and each member of the class action suit would receive $500.00 with the primary plaintiffs getting a slightly larger share of the settlement, about $5,000.00.
