Finally, after a very long summer, Empire Season 2, Episode #1 aired tonite on Fox! YEAH!!!! I was waiting with baited breath and a nice snack of watermelon cubes and a Ginger Ale. hahahaha The fashions wee on point ...Outrageous!!! And there were so many Cameos and Guest Stars! It's hard to remember who all was on the show tonite. Some of the guest stars were Andre Leon Talley, Marisa Tomei, Chris Rock, Miss Lawrence, Rev Al Sharpton, and Don Lemon just to name a few!
There were a lot of plot twists and almost all of the characters were using their "resting bitchy faces" and "mean mugs" and it seemed like everyone had taken a mean pill. Jamal was so cold and hard, I thought he turned straight all of a sudden. hahahaha But when he grabbed his boyfriend by the hair and then kissed him on the mouth I knew he had lost his ever loving mind! That was such a rough trade straight guy move. Gay men don't act like that, unless they are into the S&M lifestyle. hahahaha
I can't believe that Boo Boo Kitty slept with Marisa Tomei's character, that chick is such a THOT (That HO Over There) I can't stand it!!! hahahaha I guess she is sexually fluid and also the company whore! First she slept with Lucious's rival, Billy Barretti portrayed by Judd Nelson and now she slept with Mimi Whiteman portrayed by Marisa Tomei. Is there anyone on the show that she will NOT sleep with?
There were a TON of plot twists!!! I wont ruin it for everyone, but I MUST comment on 1. Frank Gathers, portrayed by Chris Rock, the old drug dealer that Cookie was working for years ago when she got clipped and sent away. The one who used to send cheap flowers to you just b4 he had you whacked, well he figured out that Cookie was a snitch and so he planned on whacking her. But for some unknown reason, he decided to tell Lucious about it his plan. Cookie is Lucious's baby mama and still his part time squeeze, why on earth would you tell him that you were gonna whack his woman? Lucious is one slick bastard and I loved how he turned Frank's entire crew against him. DUH! What did Frank think was gonna happen? Did he really think that he was running shit?It's just like the game of Survivor, everyone THINKS they are running his or her tribe but it sure is a BIG shock to them when they get voted off and find out they weren't running shit!!! Stop THINKING you are the TOP DOG and BE the TOP DOG. Issue orders to people and if they follow them, then you are the TOP DOG. If they dont, then you are NOT! DUH!!! So anyway, back to Empire. When Lucious tells Frank that he is gonna ride with Cookie, if Frank is Warring with her, then he's warring with Lucious too. Frank orders his men to kill Lucious. But Whoops! Frank's men are now loyal to Lucious for various reasons and so Lucious orders them to kill Frank. And to "make it loud and slow." So they attack him off camera and as Lucious walks down the hall, you hear Frank screaming! hahahaha So cold!!! Plus I wonder why they killed off Chris's character so soon! Maybe there can only be one villain on the show and that is Lucious?!?
Anyway, Miss Lawrence was my favorite guest star on tonight's episode. He looked great and he SANG his ass off!!! I just wish he and Jamal would sing a duet together. However, I think Miss Lawrence would sing rings around Jamal if they did. That's probably the real reason why Jamal wont sing a duet with Miss Lawrence. Jamal is scared! hahahaha
So another great episode of Empire and I am really looking forward to the rest of the season. It's gonna be amazing I think, if it is half as good as Episode 1 was. Oh, and there is a new Prosecutor, portrayed by Tyra Farrell (from Boyz N the Hood) and she offered Lucious a deal that would take the death penalty off the table and Lucious refuses it. And he told her she was wearing cheap shoes, but she counters saying her shoes are Tom Ford. So what gurl, if they are not Jimmy Chew or Christian Louboutin then they ARE cheap. hahahaha
