Cutthroat Kitchen is Off the Chain Amazing!
Cutthroat Kitchen is a new show on the Food Network with Alton Brown as the host and Antonia Lofaso as the Judge. The premise is that there are 4 chef contestants, each receives $25,000.00 in cash at the start of the cook off. They are given a theme and then get 60 seconds to shop in the pantry for their food items. They are also given a time limit to make each meal. And during that cooking time, auctions happen where they can sabotage the other contestants. For example, the highest bidder in auction 1, can take away all of the knives and cooking utensils of any of the other 3 chefs. And then that chef will be given a pocket knife to cook with. Or a chef will get his mouth taped shut and therefore he cannot taste what he is cooking. Or a chef can be banned from using the stove or the oven and given a one burner cooking top. At the end of the 3 rounds the chef with the most money left wins the contest and all of the money he has left from the original $25,000.00. It's hell of funny to hear the chefs bantering and jockeying for position and it is also, so funny when they dog out someone with one of the punishments. It is just really surprising when they still come up with edible meals to present to the judge! GREAT SHOW!!! Good Job Food Network!
