Lacoste Salesman Fired For Posting Photo of His Paycheck to Instagram

When will people learn that social media is not the proper forum for EVERYTHING! Stop posting your location to Twitter so that burglars can break into your house, stop dumping your spouses by text message, stop putting your schedule on face book, and etc. We (the public) do not need to know every single aspect of your life 24/7! Well this guy, Wade Groom, claims he was the top seller at Lacoste's NYC flagship store. But he was struggling to make ends meet. He has 4 yr old twins and doesn't make enough money to save for their college education. So he got the bright idea to post a picture of his paycheck on Instagram. Well, it got back to his bosses at Lacoste and he was called into the floor mgr's office for a conference call with a Human Resources Manager who told him that posting the picture "infringes"on the store's "confidentiality agreement and that he was fired". Wade is not happy and thinks he should have been given a stern warning. I don't agree with Wade. I agree with the store. Wade took the job for $15.00/hr. If that is not enough money to support his family, he should get a 2nd job, work extra hours at Lacoste, or work weekends. But don't bitch and moan about how poorly you are paid at your full time job.
