Independence Day from 1996 Finally Has a Sequel, Independence Day Resurgence...Casting News!

Hollywood is finally making a sequel to the blockbuster hit, Independence Day the new one is titled Independence Day Resurgence. And it has almost all of the original cast members except for Will Smith. Hmmm...is he holding out for more money or is he just not interested? Vivica A. Fox, Jeff Goldblum, Liam Hemsworth, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe, Judd Hirsch, Sela Ward and Charlotte Gainsbourg have also been cast in the sequel, which 20th Century Fox has dated for June 24, 2016 — nearly 20 years after the original was released. Bill Pullman, who played President Thomas J. Whitmore in the original, is returning for the sequel. It is already in production and is scheduled to be released June 24, 2016. I'll be watching, I loved the first one. I've seen it like at least 100 times. hahahaha
