Justin Beiber and Usher Being Sued Over Song "Sombody to Love" for $10 Million Dollars!
Recording artists Justin Beiber and Usher are being sued over their song "Somebody to Love" by a song writing duo Devin Copeland, Mareio Overton file a lawsuit saying that portions of the pop song were taken from their work. They also have a song by the same name and after listening to snippets of both songs. They do sound very similar. The suit was originally filed in 2013, but a lower court threw it out. They appealed and a higher court ruled that a jury might find that the songs are very similar and reinstated the suit. I'll let you know what happens as soon as it goes to trial or they reach a settlement. The plaintiffs are seeking $10 million dollars. Beiber and Usher better hope they don't get a jury like the one who decided that Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke ripped off "Gotta Give It Up" by Marvin Gaye and awarded the children of Marvin Gaye, $7.4 million dollars. I can't stand Beiber so I hope he loses. hahahaha
