US Coast Guard Seizes 12,000 lbs of Cocaine Worth $181 MILLION DOLLARS!!!! In South Pacific!

The US Coast Guard announced on Wed that it had seized 12,000 lbs of cocaine worth $181 million dollars from a sub like vehicle in the south pacific ocean. The sub was coming up from Mexico when it was spotted. The Coast Guard boarded the ship and found 16,000 lbs of cocaine with 4 smugglers on board. So they arrested the smugglers and started off loading the cocaine but b4 they could complete off loading all 16,000 lbs, the sub sunk. And it sunk in water so deep, that the cocaine is safe at the bottom of the ocean and cannot be recovered, ever!

The seizure, which took place on July 18, was the "largest recorded semi-submersible interdiction in Coast Guard history," according to the agency.

The Coast Guard said there have been 25 known interdictions of semi-submersible vessels in the eastern Pacific Ocean since November 2006.

"Every interception of these semi-submersibles disrupts transnational organized crime networks and helps increase security and stability in the Western Hemisphere," Vice Admiral Charles W. Ray, commander of the Pacific area, said in a statement.

Semi-submersible ships are designed for drug trafficking, and because they are mostly submerged -- often with only a cockpit and exhaust pipe visible above water -- they are particularly difficult to detect and interdict, the Coast Guard said. Good job, Coast Guard, keep up the good work!!!
