India's Deputy Consul General Arrested in NY

This is kind of shocking! The Deputy Consul General from India, Devyani Khobragade, was arrested on Thursday and charged with 1 count of making a false declaration and Visa Fraud. Because she had submitted papers for an A-3 Visa for her Manhattan housekeeper. The housekeeper was promised 30,000 Rupees per month to work in Khobragade's Manhattan home, which is about $573.00 per month or just $3.31 per hour which far below US minimum wage. Wow, what a cheap bitch! So US Law states that workers must make a comparable wage to US workers. All of India is in an uproar because Khobragade claims she was strip searched after being taken into custody. She thinks she should have full immunity from US Laws because she is the Deputy Consul, but because she is the Deputy Consul, she only has limited diplomatic immunity and only in regards to her duties at the Consulate. Her home is not part of the consulate. So India has made a formal complaint to the US Ambassador in India and they have removed some of the concrete barriers in front of the US Consulate in India. Really? Are you serious? That is just ridiculous! India needs to get over it. Hey, here's a thought, India should tell their citizens, don't go to the  USA and commit crimes! DUH!!! Don't lie when you are submitting official visa documents! Then you wont get arrested and you wont go jail and get strip searched. Simple as that! hahahahaha Khobragade has been released on $250,000.00 USD bail. I sure hope they put an ankle monitor on her. She might flee the USA.
