National Geographics' Doomsday Preppers is Filled With Whackadoos!!!

I finally caught a couple of episodes of National Geographics' Doomsday Preppers and I was very disappointed in the people they chose to be on the show. Most of these guys are 1 sandwich short of a picnic. Not because they are prepping for a day that probably wont come. But because they don't go far enough in their preparations. One guy in TX, built a "Command Center" on top of his home. That's a really good idea, however, he fucked it up by also building a stair case that leads from the ground right up to a hollow core door on his roof top Command Center. So he may have a 360 degree view of his property and nice gun turrets on each wall of the Command Center. But more importantly he also has less than an inch of very thin wood between him any crazy trying to break in!!! That door is so thin, that I think my dead grandma could kick in that hollow core door. hahahaha Why would you build an outside staircase right up to your roof top Command Center? (Shakes head in disgust!) Oh and to access the Command Center from inside the house, he has to pull down a short ladder. I think that is a design flaw also. First of all the entrance to the Command Center should not be so obvious. Because once you go up there, if you don't pull the ladder up inside with you, anyone who enters the house will look around and say, hmmm, I bet that ladder over there leads right up the Command Center on the roof. hahahaha The entrance to the Command Center needs to be a fixed staircase or a fixed ladder hidden in a secret closet. So that once you enter the closet, all you have to do is run right up the stairs to the Command Center. Also inside the Command Center, you need a toilet, food, water, radio, TV, beds or air mattresses, sleeping bags, medicine, etc. All he had at the time of the filming of the show was an empty room!!! If that is your "last stand" room, it must be as impenetrable as possible. Don't make it easy for the killer to get you!!! DUH!!!! Now this couple did okay with storing supplies and weapons, but you can only access them from outside of the house. Which means the killer can sit outside and wait for you to leave the house to get a can of soup and then just shoot you. I don't think that this guy really thought this through logically. Another guy on this show, actually installed a 3 pod underground steel bunker for his wife and family. But his bunker is only 6 ft below ground. I don't think that is deep enough. And his air supply is a very obvious white pipe sticking up out of the ground in a clearing. All, any killer would have to do is knock the cover off of the pipe and then clog the pipe cutting off the air supply. Why are these guys making it so easy for the killers to get them? That air supply pipe should be hidden inside of a shed or a fake tree, so that it is isn't so obvious what it is! If that guy built a nice little cabin there, he could easily hide the air supply pipe inside one of the walls of the cabin and have it exit on the roof and no one would the wiser! They would just believe that it was a vent for the house. What this guy needs to do is to build a hidden underground tunnel from his house all the way to the bunker. And PLEASE make the entrance to the tunnel inconspicuous! This guy did a better job of stock piling food and supplies,  they have 3 yrs worth. But once it runs out, they are dead because they have no backups or any way to get more supplies. You must have backups and backups for the backups! hahahaha I think they need to buy some Army meal rations, those things last forever and are very easy to store. Finally, there was this Doctor in Colorado, who did the best job of hoarding supplies, he also has about 3yrs worth of food, medicine, and water. He has 125, 000 gallons of water in giant storage tank. What he did, that I think is better than every one else, is that he has a couple of green houses where he grows his own vegetables with heirloom seeds. So the ability to grow more fresh veggies is a good backup plan. He also has EMP (electro magnetic pulse) proof vehicle and air stream trailer with a solar powered  panel on the roof. So, overall, I liked some of the preparations that were made, I just think the executions wee sorely lacking! 'Cause the steel bunker was nice! Running water, furniture, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, giant flat scree TVs, radios, etc. So once inside you would not only be safe, you would be comfortable.
