Laurence Fishburn Cast to Portray Alex Haley In New Roots!

Veteran actor Laurence Fishburn has been cast to portray writer Alex Haley in the new Roots Miniseries for Lifetime/A&E/History Channels. The new 8 episode miniseries will use old and new material that has been researched recently. So it's not a remake but an update. I will definitely be watching. Laurence is an amazing talent and I know he's gonna give us drama. hahahaha We are off to a good start. Who will be cast next? The original miniseries had every black actor/actress of the time doing a role, and new faces as well. So I hope the new one does just as well in the casting. We love our veterans and we love seeing new talent. Right? Well, alright then. hahahaha
