Serena and Venus Williams, 5 times champions of Wimbledon Doubles have withdrawn from this years matches, unexpectedly and no reason was given. Oh Lord, I sure hope everything is okay but clearly it is not if they cannot continue. (so sad!) The sisters have previously won the championship in 2000, 2002, 2008, 2009, and 2012. This year they were rated 12th seed.
Serena is still #1 seed to poised to win the singles.
They have been replaced in the draw by lucky losers from qualifying Misaki Doi (Japan) andStephanie Vogt (Liechtenstein).
